Agro Forestry International embraces the idea of multi-level of certification for all timber and agro forestry companies. Agro Forestry international AFI certification has different certification that are applicable to the particular industry that is being certified. The regulations for tropical hard woods is different than those for North American pine. AFI has created different levels of certification, to recognize the efforts of companies that look at whole land management and agro forestry systems, rather than just one certification that a company can meet a minimum criteria to become certified. Being an agro forestry certification program we look at whole land use certifying timber plantations as well as organic producers of any agriculture products. We also strive to keep the cost to a minimum to give companies to more access to the market for products produced in an ecologically sound manner by small producers. This allows more open competition of companies of all sizes and allows certification to become more available based on environmentally sound practices and not based on financial ability. Bringing opportunity and knowledge to a larger group of produces.
